On the 7th of March 2025 at the Sheraton Zagreb Hotel, the Franco-Croatian Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a business gathering and seminar with the Croatian Ministry of Finance. The seminar covered the latest tax changes and legislation that came into effect on January 1, 2025.
After the reception of guests and an organized brunch, the seminar was opened with an introductory speech by the President of the Franco-Croatian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ms. Višnja Ježić Sorić.
The attendees were also greeted by His Excellency, the Ambassador of the Republic of France to Croatia, Mr. Fabien Fieschi.
The members of the Franco-Croatian Chamber of Commerce and Industry then got a unique opportunity and honor to present themselves, their activities and representation on the Croatian market to the Minister of Finance, Mr. Marko Primorac.
In his address to the audience, Mr. Primorac mentioned Croatian projects and investments to date and emphasized its openness to foreign entrepreneurs and investments.
Referring to the 2025 tax reform, Minister Primorac emphasized that the aim is to digitalize the fiscal system, as well as to reduce the tax and administrative burden. The changes introduced in the system will have a long-term positive impact on the Croatian economy, as well as on fiscal stability.
The Minister's speech was followed by a lecture held by Mr. Božidar Kutleša, Assistant Minister of Finance and Director General of the Tax Administration, that covered latest tax changes in more detail.
